Welcoming and friendly

After spectating at the Loch Awe Adventure Regatta in April 2019, I was drawn to the skiffs and in particular to rowing. After riding racehorses for a living until earlier that year I needed a new sport in my life and soon organised a taster rowing session. I was made extremely welcome and soon felt a friend amongst friends.

After becoming involved in the regular rows on beautiful Loch Awe I felt the pull towards some competitive rowing and later in the year was fortunate enough to take part in the Castle to Crane Race and also the sprints at Loch Tummel. Before these events the club arranged for two top quality coaching weekends which benefited us all, and brought about much fun and fellowship. By the end of the year I have seen the launch of a second boat and our members increasing. The club is welcoming and friendly and would love to hear from would be new rowers.
