The next Loch Awe Adventure is now planned for 24-26 September squeezed between the C2C (11 September) and the Regional Freshwater Sprints on Loch Tummel in October.
For some months discussions have ben held with Forest and Land Scotland to have a small compound close to the loch’s foreshore on the the Dalavich FLS Workshop site which may become available in the next 12-16 months to acquire via an asset transfer request. It is hoped that sometime…
Current Covid restrictions still prevent members from coming together for a long overdue AGM. However, rather than attempt to conduct one by proxy or via Zoom/Skype it is intended to wait until the vaccine rollout makes it possible to meet face to face – hopefully by early next Summer.
The date we hope to resume rowing remain unknown at present and much will depend on the Covisd-19 vaccine rollout. When at last we do get back on the weather it is likely to take place at the Taychreggan Hotel.
We are pleased that we now have Parliamentary support for our quest for a base of our own – see letter below from Brendan O’Hara, Argyll and Bute MP. We also have the written support of Donald Cameron, Highlands and Islands MSP.
